Beyond the Hills CSP supports Sustainable Ledbury in its volunteer biodiversity work on the Town Trail.
Ledbury Town Trail is a step back into transport history. The Town Trail runs from Ledbury Station in the north and follows the route of the former Gloucester to Ledbury canal and subsequent Gloucester Branch railway line. It is very popular with walkers and cyclists. From the station to Bridge Street, the track mainly follows the old railway track along a high embankment shaded by tall trees and well-drained. From Bridge Street southwards, the track is more sheltered, with a mix of habitats, including a deep cutting and planted woodland and many species of plants, wildlife, birds and insects.
The Town Trail brochure was funded by Beyond the Hills CSP in conjunction with West Midlands Railway Your Community Your Fund project.
